MapmyIndia builds and provides the most advanced maps of India optimized for in-vehicle and personal navigation and tracking and location-based services for enterprise and personal use. This presentation describes the use and benefits of Oracle Spatial and Graph in the data production pipeline from collection and extraction to production, quality assurance, and delivery. Oracle Database 12 allows the use of common applications for data ingestion and integration and data validation and production. After a rigorous set of quality assurance tests that include topological, statistical, and other validation, consistency, and completeness checks the production database is then used generating data products for delivery in multiple formats. The common platform for storage and applications facilitates quarterly releases that often contain significant updates. This presentation will also discuss planned usage of 3D and point-cloud management for HD maps.
